INTRODUCTION...
The original Fly Red Fish website is back
up. I stopped posting in 2006 but will resume sharing links
I find helpful and interesting. The studio blog
will continue at www.madjonesdesign.com/blogspot.
Thanks for visiting,
Madeleine.

Palette.
Are you looking
for a funky print on a high quality cotton for your next craft
project? Check out Cia's Palette. The site is
easy to surf, safe to shop and highly recommended. I used a great
goldfish print to make this apron.
Aprons are a
pretty accessory and easy to make. There are
many books on how to make aprons but you can get free patterns
online at Tipnut.
The links are up to date and the designs are cute. One of my
favorites is the Valentine
Apron (scroll down). It's a popular style but this version is a
stand-out.

Dress.
Pretty dresses are the best. When a
woman wears one, her heels bounce, her voice giggles, and the sun
looks brighter. Sunday
Brunch Dress is an online shopping site that features dresses to
look pretty in everyday... just because. The home page juxtaposes
one dress with a piece of art. Take time to browse the online art
gallery and a chatty and interesting blog.
I also like to surf the sale page at
Anthropologie
so I can stay on a budget. The on-line dresses are sized for women,
not pixies.
And what do I wear with my dresses?
Heels from Zappos, of
course. Two recent buys I made online...

COOLnews
Marketing is a tricky topic. People will not
always come if you build it. Cool
News of the Day provides sound bites of what's hot in marketing
now. They cover what big and little companies are doing to attract
customers. The information is relevant and helpful to creative
entrepeneurs who didn't go past Marketing 101.

Nothing is more daunting than a blank page. That is
why I like Doodlers Anonymous. It is inspiring to see spontaneous
art work that others have created. Relax, stop judging yourself and
start drawing. Make a napkin a canvas.
